A hit-and-run accident can have devastating consequences. By law, all drivers are required to remain at the scene of a crash and the failure to do so can be a felony. In this case, the driver chose to ignore the law and leave the scene after causing a tragic crash. Hit-and-run accidents account for about 100,000 crashes annually in Florida.
