Panama City, FL (August 1, 2018) – One person was left in critical condition after a serious motorcycle collision in Panama City. The Florida Highway Patrol investigated the accident.
At the time of the accident, 40-year-old Nancy Nuval was trying to make a left turn onto 231 from Hyde Avenue in her 2014 Acadia.
Nuval did not see 21-year-old Eli Buntin riding his 2002 Yamaha motorcycle. Buntin could not stop in time and crashed his motorcycle into the side of the SUV.
Buntin was then ejected from the bike. He was transported to the Bay Medical Center with critical injuries. Charges are currently pending, and the investigation is ongoing.
Florida is known for having the most motorcycle crash fatalities in the country. In fact, in 2015, we saw a 30% increase in these serious accidents, which was the highest on record.
