A patient was airlifted after a serious Venice vehicle accident that blocked the roadway. The vehicle crash was so serious that it blocked lanes on northbound Interstate 75 in Venice but was quickly cleared by crews.
The accident happened around 8:50 a.m. when deputies responded to mile marker 192 and found a multi-vehicle crash. There was a trauma alert for one person involved. Bayflight landed on the scene and took the patient to the hospital. The condition of the patient at this time is not known.

A Palm Coast man was sadly pronounced dead following a two-vehicle crash that took place Thursday night, September 27, south of Keystone Heights, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
