A man on Monday was suspected of driving a vehicle that ended in a pedestrian being dragged in a Gainesville accident. The accident occurred at the Spyglass apartments, where she was dragged for several yards. The man was driving a Chrysler Sebring at the time. By the end of the incident, witnesses lifted the vehicle off of the victim and pulled her free.
The suspected driver was permitted to sleep inside the vehicle by a woman, who then reported the vehicle as stolen. The woman who was dragged by the vehicle is now in stable condition in the hospital.
