58-year-old Phillip Dehart of Milton was moving cable lines around 3 a.m. when he fell more than 20 feet onto the road. At the time, he was inside a bucket truck. He was helping to move the Gulfview Hotel.
Dehart was taken to the hospital but, unfortunately, he died of his injuries on Sunday. The accident happened when another employee ran over a cable that was draped from a pole that Dehart was working on. This pulled Dehart right out of the bucket.
Dehart was wearing a safety harness at the time, but it was unfortunately not secured to the bucket.
