Pinellas County, FL (June 22, 2021) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an injury crash in Pinellas County on Tuesday, June 22nd. The crash occurred at approximately 12:00 p.m. on Ulmerton Road near Feather Sound Drive.
Troopers arrived at the crash site about 10 minutes after being dispatched. According to reports, at least one person suffered injuries in the collision although the nature and extent of the injuries sustained is not known at this time. There was a roadblock at the scene due to the severity of the accident as passing motorists were urged to find alternate routes of travel if possible. The identity of the victim and the cause of the crash have not been released.
No further information is available. The crash remains under investigation.

A pedestrian walking along Baxley Road died after being struck by a vehicle on Monday. Cody Kinney, 34, was walking southbound in the northbound lanes of Baxley around 5:40 am. A GMC Envoy traveling northbound struck Kinney. Rescue personnel arrived on scene where, unfortunately, Kinney was pronounced dead from severe injuries sustained in the crash. Read more
