Plant City, FL (November 17, 2018) - A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run that took place in Plant City on Friday, November 16th. Police were called to Sammonds Road around 6:50 am in reference to the incident.
When officers arrived, they discovered a pedestrian lying in the roadway after being struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian suffered critical injuries and died at the crash scene. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian left the scene prior to officers' arrival. The pedestrian was not immediately identified and authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
