Reddick, FL (August 3, 2018) – Late Tuesday night, a pickup truck driver lost his life after he went off the side of the road and struck a tree at top speeds. The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the accident, and they were able to identify the driver as 26-year-old Taylor Starling of Gainesville.
Neighbors in the area heard the loud noise as the truck struck the tree and went outside. They saw the vehicle up against the tree, which is when they called 911. The vehicle was speeding southbound on County Road 329 when it ran off the roadway.
The truck first entered a ditch, which caused it to travel onward until it struck the tree. The vehicle rolled onto the driver’s side after it hit it.
The accident took place in the 16900 block of Northwest County Road 329. It happened around midnight on the night in question.
