Last night around 10:25 p.m., a 41-year-old man named Robert McCallum, of Lady Lake, died after a serious single-vehicle accident on Lake Griffin Road. At the time of the accident, McCallum had been at the wheel of his Cobalt and traveling eastbound when he suddenly lost control. His vehicle struck a fence and a concrete pillar in a driveway.
35-year-old Jenny Deal was a passenger in his vehicle and was seriously injured. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Both had their seatbelts on at the time.
