Seminole, FL (August 17, 2018) – In Seminole, a deputy-related accident caused minor injuries. The accident involved three vehicles and sheriff’s deputies who were on-duty at the time.
Investigators say that deputies Howard Miller and Kent Snavely were completing a traffic stop around 10:55 a.m. today on Bryan Dairy Road. Snavely was parked right behind Miller’s vehicle. Both vehicles had their emergency lights on. Miller was inside his vehicle and Snavely was outside Miller’s door at the time.
That’s when 47-year-old Richard Hain suddenly came upon the scene in his Mercy Mountaineer and crashed into the back of Snavely’s vehicle. The impact was so forceful that it pushed Snavely into Miller.
Miller and Hain both received minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment. Snavely did not receive injuries.
Hain received multiple citations related to the accident.
