Tampa, FL (July 21, 2018) – Tampa Police were called to the scene of an accident that took place involving a driver and a palm tree. According to police, the driver lost their life.
Tampa Police came to the scene of the accident on Independence Parkway, which is just south of the Memorial Highway. Emergency responders found that there was a woman trapped inside her vehicle and worked to free her.
The woman was transported to the local hospital and passed away due to her injuries.
The roadway was closed down between George Road and Memorial Highway around 5 a.m. but has since reopened.
