A hit-and-run accident in Florida can and often does have devastating consequences for victims and their families. In 2019, more than 100,000 hit-and-run crashes were reported in Florida. Most of these accidents involved injuries to one or more victims. Although it is a crime to leave the scene of an injury crash, many drivers choose to do so. These drivers flee knowing that their negligent actions have caused serious injuries to others.
