A three-car Delray Beach crash took the lives of four people on Saturday night, according to police. At least one other person received serious injuries and was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert with non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident took place on South Federal Highway around 7:20 p.m. The accident happened when a gray Chevrolet pickup truck was speeding. It swerved to avoid traffic and rear-ended a minivan waiting to make a left turn. Four people were killed by the violent impact. Everybody says that the minivan was “crushed” due to the accident.
Three cars were stuck together after the accident and hydraulic tools had to be used to pull them apart and find victims inside. All four occupants of the minivan were pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide investigators were called to the scene and the driver of the pickup truck cooperated with them. Motorists were asked to avoid the area.
