Many accidents take place every year involving multiple parties. The statistics show us that a variety of accidents end in injuries and fatalities every year, putting lives at risk. In fact, according to the NTHSB, there is an accident in Florida every 92 seconds. 250,000 people were injured on Florida roads in just 2017 alone, showing us that many people will become injured in life-changing accidents they never expected.
Early this morning, police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle Jacksonville crash that led to injuries in multiple parties. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate the crash downtown after it happened around 2:28 a.m. in the morning.
The accident took place at the intersection of East Union Street and North Ocean Street this morning. JSO reported that three people were seriously injured when the two vehicles collided and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
One of the individuals, a middle-aged white male, was taken with life-threatening injuries. Reporters said that a Dodge Charger and Jeep were involved in the accident and police officers are still working to determine who had the right of way. They believe that somebody ran a red light when they were not supposed to.
