Motorcycle accidents occur quite frequently in Florida and are usually severe in nature. Motorcycle accidents account for about 14% of all traffic-related deaths despite the fact that only about 3% of all registered motor vehicles are motorcycles.
In this crash, it appears as though the motorcycle rider and passenger were innocent victims when the Ford driver failed to yield the right of way. Drivers should always be aware of their surroundings when turning. Failing to yield the right of way is a negligent act that can lead to legal responsibility for any injuries that follow.
