Clear Spring, FL (July 1, 2018) – In Clear Spring, an Interstate 70 accident took place that sent two people to local hospitals. It happened on Saturday after the crash that shut down the highway due to its severity.
At the time of the incident, 58-year-old Paul Chiang of Ontario was a passenger in a 2005 Subaru driven by a 56-year-old named Monica Chiang. The Chiangs were driving in the fast lane of the highway around the mile 17 marker when a Volvo driven by 32-year-old Aziz Fayzullaev made an unsafe lane change and ran into them. He was in a tractor-trailer at the time. This forced the Chiang’s vehicle into the median, where it struck a tree.
Fayzullaev was not injured but both of the Chiangs were taken to the hospital for their injuries.
The highway was closed for about 30 minutes so that a helicopter could land to take them to the hospital. State Police were called to the scene to investigate.

A witness says that the light turned green just as Milich was crossing the road and violated the traffic’s right of way. A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash on Monday, June 3rd. The crash happened in the 1500 block of US-1, around 5:00 p.m. Police and rescue crews responded to the scene and found the motorcyclist unresponsive. He was airlifted to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute in critical condition. There were no other injuries reported in the crash. The northbound lanes of US-1 remained closed while authorities worked at the scene. There is no word on how the crash occurred. Read more
