Industrial Accident Leads to One Fatality in Cantonment

In Cantonment, one worker lost their life in an accident at an industrial site where construction was happening. A worker was killed at the industrial plant, which is named Ascend Performance Materials.
The senior director of Global Communications commented on the incident and said that the entire company is aware of the incident as of Friday night. It was stated that the accident involved a contract employee working for another company who was there doing work with the other employees at the time. At this time, Ascend Performance Materials is working with authorities on the accident case to determine next steps.
At this time, authorities believe that the accident was just that – an accident, and no foul play is suspected. Reportedly, something has fallen on the victim. A crime scene unit was called to inspect the scene around 6:30 p.m. on Friday. There were no other injuries at the time.
The worker died on the job.
