Marianna, FL – Man Pronounced Dead in Accident in Marianna

Marianna, FL (July 5, 2018) – An accident that took place in Marianna, Florida, led to one man being pronounced dead. The man was identified as 25-year-old Jordan Colby, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the incident on Laramore Road and Pittman Hill around 1:57 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. At the time, Colby was driving east on Laramore Road and the side of his vehicle traveled onto a grassy shoulder on the roadway as he attempted to negotiate a left curve.
Colby tried overcorrecting, which caused him to travel across the east and westbound lanes of Laramore Road, where he promptly ran into two trees. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
Police said that he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time.
