Four years ago, a car crashed into an Orange County Kindercare and injured a child, and now his family is seeking justice for an accident they believe was ‘preventable.’ The mother of the young child, Megan Bish, is working with her attorney to seek results after the incident that took place on April 9, 2014.
On this day, Robert Corchado, a driver, forced another driver off a nearby road and sent him careening into a Kindercare facility. A 4-year-old named Lily Quintus was killed when the car came barreling through the front of the building. 3-year-olds Kaleb and June DeCalzada were injured.
Corchado was sentenced in the crash and is currently serving 40 years in prison. The lawsuit that Bish has brought states that he caused the negligence in the accident that injured her son. She also claims that these accidents have happened throughout various Kindercares in the country and that the designers have done nothing to put protective barriers in front of the structures.
Her son Kaleb will now receive surgeries, medical treatments, and therapy for possibly the rest of his life. He is now 8 years old.
