Sarasota County, FL (July 29, 2018) – A man from Sarasota County lost his life in a fatal accident that took place yesterday on Interstate 75. 57-year-old Roger Solorzano did not pass away immediately but instead in the hospital due to his injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol investigated the crash. They found that Solorzano was driving south at the time near the Jacaranda Boulevard exit close to 12:42 p.m. He was driving his Dodge Ram in the outside lane of the roadway.
A 27-year-old woman, at the same time, was driving south in the center lane. Solorzano’s truck, for some reason, veered off the highway when he swerved left into the center lane. He collided with the right rear of the woman’s Honda. The vehicle then left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Solorzano was initially taken to the Sarasota Memorial Hospital to receive care but later died due to his injuries. The woman was taken to the Venice Regional Bayfront Health with minor injuries.
