Being involved in a car accident is a frightening experience. From the moment of impact, an accident is one of the most stressful experiences that a person can have in their daily lives. If an accident involves injuries, the stress levels then multiply.
When you are injured due to someone else's negligence, you have legal rights that must be protected. In Florida, a driver who suffers injuries at the hands of another can recover money to compensate them for:
- Pain and suffering
- Medical treatment, both past and future
- Lost wages
- Permanent damages, including scars and disfigurement
- Punitive damages, in cases of especially reckless or dangerous conduct
